Improving Recognition of Delirium - A short online survey

During a workshop at the EDA meeting in 2010 the barriers to recognition of delirium (the crucial step in improving management and outcomes) were explored. This year’s workshop will develop these ideas further and form an EDA Action Plan to start to address these barriers. Patient Experience of Delirium- Teaching Video

The patient had a post operative delirium and made a good recovery. He has a high degree of insight into the experience of delirium. The clip highlights the distressing nature of delirium, intensity of the symptoms and impact of simple reassurance. It is intended that the video is used as a teaching tool.
